We at ASTUTE believe that civil society/private organizations have responsibilities towards the betterment of societies/communities in which we work. ASTUTE’s program team has been playing its role for changing lifestyles of fellow citizens, by making them participate in various interventions, for more than five years. Team ASTUTE is comprised of people having diversified work understanding and expertise including: 

• Social researches/surveys/situation analysis
• Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material development
• Advocacy campaigns
• Policy making on health-related and social issues
• Community mobililization
• Training Needs Assessment (TNA)
• Trainings on health and other social issues
• Trainings on life/soft-skills for social organizations and private/corporate sector
• Theatre performances
• Service delivery for below-mentioned society components
• Supporting the NGOs/CBOs, corporate sector and institutions in mainstreaming policies on HIV & AIDS
• Reviewing of documents, field visits, stakeholders and institutional analysis and provide recommendations for further improvement
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Social development project execution and implementation with/for following components of society:

• Children;
• Adolescents;
• Youth;
• Adults;
• Women;
• Vulnerable population; and
• Other marginalized groups of society.

ASTUTE is working with private and corporate sector as well as government and non-government organizations, as we strongly believe in public-private partnership for the overall development of humanity.  

COMMUNICATIONS

Getting one's message across is a concern not only to advertisers but also to any other organization whether a business or organizations involved in development work. Whether it is a campaign against whaling, a fundraising concert for AIDS awareness and prevention, or a radio program to update farmers on current prices, it is important for it to gain wide public support. Advertising agencies have long recognized the power of newspapers, television and radio to promote a product to a large number of people over a wide geographic area and a number of big NGOs have also utilized it to educate people on certain issues and gather support from around the world. Nevertheless, for most organizations, developing programs and promotional materials harnessing the potentials of broadcast media is a daunting task.
